Know what you’re testing

The product boundary, up front.

Nateleigh turns transaction evidence into a forward-looking view. These disclosures explain what that means today—and what it does not mean.

Version 1.2 · Effective 3 September 2026
Information, not instructions

Nateleigh models what could happen. It does not tell you to buy a financial product or guarantee a result.

Evidence can be incomplete

A statement sees only the data it contains. Missing accounts, bills, cash spending, or changes can alter the picture.

AI can be wrong

Automated categorization and explanations need review, especially when a decision matters.

Upload-first, with a gate

Invited testing starts with synthetic files. Real statement uploads open only after hosted controls pass; bank sync is later.

1. Current feature status

CapabilityStatusWhat that means
Beta applicationCurrentApply for an invite; application does not guarantee access.
Synthetic sample dataCurrentReady-to-download NZ and US CSV/XLSX packs for low-risk product testing.
Real statement uploadGatedSupported CSV, XLSX, and XLS parsing exists, but invited real-data use waits for hosted security, deletion, backup, and notice evidence.
Structure and direction inferencePre-releaseThe system can propose columns, dates, and money direction; uncertain files or rows require review. Hosted release evidence is pending.
Transaction categorizationPre-releaseCategories are estimates based on available evidence and can be corrected. Hosted release evidence is pending.
Forecast and scenario modellingIn developmentIntended to estimate user-chosen scenarios from imported history and stated assumptions; not yet represented as a released beta capability.
AI-assisted chat or explanationPre-releaseDevelopment capability exists; hosted use with real data requires provider, privacy, and security review plus an in-product notice.
Bank connectionPlannedTargeted for later development; not available in the upload-first beta.
Money movement or paymentsNot offeredNateleigh does not hold, transfer, lend, invest, or pay money.
Paid subscriptionNot activeThe current beta does not convert automatically to a paid plan.

2. Financial-services disclosure

Nateleigh is personal financial information and decision-support software. It is not a bank, deposit taker, lender, insurer, broker, investment adviser, financial advice provider, accountant, tax adviser, lawyer, credit counselor, fiduciary, or consumer reporting agency.

Nateleigh does not hold or move funds. Money shown in the product is not held by Nateleigh and is not insured by Nateleigh, the US Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or New Zealand’s Depositor Compensation Scheme.

The service does not recommend acquiring, disposing of, or switching a particular investment, insurance policy, mortgage, loan, or other financial product. If a question requires that recommendation, use an appropriately licensed professional.

For the U.S. beta, Nateleigh does not extend credit, furnish consumer reports, determine eligibility, initiate electronic fund transfers, hold customer funds, or provide securities advice for compensation. If a future feature changes one of those facts, we will complete the required federal and state review and update the terms, authorization flow, and disclosures before release.

3. U.S. financial-data boundary

U.S. financial privacy and security coverage depends on what a business actually does. Nateleigh does not assume that calling itself “software” removes obligations. Before U.S. real-statement access opens, the activity-based Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and FTC Safeguards Rule perimeter, written security program, providers, deletion, incident response, and applicable state requirements must pass the release gate.

A future read-only bank connection will require a separate provider authorization and updated data-rights review. It will not authorize Nateleigh to move money.

4. What “make the call” means

“Make the call with Nateleigh” means that Nateleigh helps you organize the evidence, test a scenario, and see an estimated effect. You decide what to do. It does not mean Nateleigh approves a purchase, guarantees affordability, predicts every future cost, or accepts responsibility for the decision itself.

5. Data-quality limits

A transaction file reflects only the account, period, and fields it contains. It may omit pending transactions, cash purchases, another account, future bills, taxes, irregular costs, changes in income, fees, reversals, refunds, transfers, or data outside its export window.

Descriptions can be abbreviated or ambiguous. A transfer can look like spending; a refund can look like income; a merchant can operate across categories. Nateleigh exposes confidence and unresolved evidence where practical, but you should compare important results with the original source.

6. Forecast and scenario limits

A forecast extrapolates from available history and assumptions. A scenario estimates the effect of a hypothetical amount, date, or change. Neither is a promise that a balance, bill, income payment, exchange rate, tax, interest charge, or event will occur as shown.

A positive projected buffer does not prove a purchase is affordable or suitable. A negative projection is not a prediction of insolvency. Check the time horizon, accounts included, recurring items, unresolved data, and known future changes.

7. AI and automated processing

Automated systems may infer structure, categories, patterns, or an explanation. These systems can produce plausible but incorrect results. Nateleigh should show the evidence and assumptions that matter and let you correct them.

Do not type credentials, one-time codes, Social Security or IRD numbers, full card numbers, or government identifiers into chat. Hosted third-party AI processing remains disabled until the provider, retention, training, location, subprocessor, deletion, and incident terms are reviewed and the point-of-use notice is active.

8. Sample data or your own

You can start with fictional sample data. If you use your own, choose a transaction export for an account you own or are authorized to use. Review it first and remove fields Nateleigh does not need. Do not email statements to us.

Use the authenticated upload flow only after Nateleigh confirms that real-data beta access is active. The Privacy Policy explains retention, service providers, overseas processing, security, and deletion.

9. Future bank connections

Any future bank connection is intended to be user-authorized and read-only for balances and transactions needed by the product. Nateleigh will not claim that credentials are invisible to us, that every institution uses the same method, or that a connection is available until the implemented architecture supports those statements.

Before connection, we will identify the provider, accounts and data requested, purpose, duration, refresh behavior, how to disconnect, and what happens to retained data. Bank connection will not authorize Nateleigh to move money.

10. When not to rely on the beta

Do not use the beta as the only source for an emergency payment, tax return, audited record, legal deadline, credit application, benefits decision, investment transaction, insolvency decision, or any situation where an error could cause serious harm. Use the original provider record and qualified professional help where appropriate.

11. Report a problem

If an amount, category, forecast, security behavior, or disclosure looks wrong, stop relying on that output and email hello@usenateleigh.com. Include a description of the issue, but do not attach a financial statement or credential by email.
