The agreement

Beta terms, without the fog.

These Terms form the agreement for United States and New Zealand users who apply for, access, or use the Nateleigh private beta.

Version 1.2 · Effective 3 September 2026
You make the decision

Nateleigh helps you test a scenario. It does not guarantee an outcome or replace professional advice.

You control the source

Use synthetic sample data or information from an account you own or are authorized to use.

The beta is free

There is no automatic paid conversion. Any future purchase requires new, clear consent.

Consumer rights remain

Nothing here excludes a right or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

1. The parties and this agreement

Nateleigh is operated by Nateleigh Investments Limited, a New Zealand limited company (company number 8030162; NZBN 9429048334174). In these Terms, “Nateleigh,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that company. “You” means the person applying for or using the service.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Product Disclosures form the agreement. If you do not agree, do not apply for or use the beta. An application does not guarantee an invitation.

2. Acceptance and eligibility

You accept this agreement by checking the acceptance box and submitting a beta application, by accepting the Terms during account creation, or by using an invited beta account after receiving the Terms.

You must be at least 18, legally able to enter this agreement, and use the beta only for your own personal or household purposes. The beta is currently intended for invited users in the United States and New Zealand. We may limit invitations or particular real-data features by country, state, capacity, legal readiness, or testing need.

3. What the beta is

Nateleigh is experimental personal financial information and decision-support software. The beta may let you upload a supported CSV, XLSX, or XLS transaction file; review inferred structure and transactions; see categories, recurring patterns, balances, or forecasts; ask questions; and model how a user-chosen scenario could affect household cash.

Features may be incomplete, change, pause, or be removed. Availability and processing times are not guaranteed. We will take reasonable care in providing the service, investigate reported faults, and describe known material limits where practical.

Bank connections, payment initiation, money movement, and paid subscriptions are not included in the upload-first beta unless we expressly tell you that a feature has launched under updated terms and disclosures.

4. Your account

Provide accurate registration information and keep your sign-in method secure. Do not share access outside the people expressly permitted in your household workspace. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You are responsible for activity under your account to the extent allowed by law, except where the activity results from our failure to use reasonable care or from matters outside your reasonable control.

5. Your data and permission to process it

You keep your rights in the files, transactions, questions, and other information you provide. You give Nateleigh a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, parse, normalize, categorize, analyze, display, support, secure, and delete that information only as reasonably needed to provide the beta in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Product improvement using identifiable financial data requires a separate, specific permission where it is not necessary to provide or secure your service.

That permission ends when the information is deleted, subject to a short documented backup-expiry period, de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify you, and records we must retain for law, security, or dispute handling.

You confirm that you own or are authorized to use the account information you upload and that any joint account holder knows you are using Nateleigh. Do not upload information obtained unlawfully or use the beta to analyze another person for credit, employment, housing, insurance, benefits, or another eligibility purpose.

Nateleigh does not create or furnish a consumer report, eligibility score, or background-screening report. You must not attempt to turn an output into one or provide it for a lender, employer, landlord, insurer, benefits administrator, or similar decision maker.

Do not submit passwords, PINs, one-time codes, full payment-card numbers, Social Security numbers, IRD numbers, or government identification. Use synthetic sample data if you prefer to test the flow without your own transactions.

6. Decision support—not a decision maker

Nateleigh organizes information and estimates what a user-selected scenario could change. You make the call. Nateleigh does not:

  • act as a bank, deposit taker, lender, money transmitter, fiduciary, investment adviser, financial advice provider, accountant, tax adviser, lawyer, credit counselor, insurer, broker, or consumer reporting agency;
  • hold, insure, safeguard, transfer, invest, lend, or move money;
  • approve a purchase, loan, investment, or other transaction;
  • guarantee that a choice is affordable, safe, suitable, or free from future shortfall;
  • provide a substitute for professional advice tailored to a regulated financial product, tax, legal, accounting, or emergency situation.

Do not use Nateleigh to choose or switch a specific investment, insurance policy, mortgage, loan, or other financial product. If you need that recommendation, speak with an appropriately licensed professional.

7. Data, forecast, and AI limits

Outputs depend on the completeness, format, date range, and accuracy of the information you provide. Files can omit pending transactions, cash spending, another account, future bills, tax, irregular costs, or changes in income. Merchants, categories, recurring items, balances, and dates may be inferred incorrectly.

Forecasts and scenarios are estimates, not promises. AI-assisted explanations can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Review unresolved items, source records, assumptions, timing, and material outputs. Correct information in the product or contact us if something important appears wrong.

Do not rely on the beta as the only record of your finances or as the sole basis for an emergency, tax filing, audited statement, credit application, legal obligation, investment, or other high-stakes decision.

8. Acceptable use

You must not, and must not help another person to:

  • break the law, infringe another person’s rights, impersonate another person, or submit data without authority;
  • probe, bypass, disable, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or its security, except where applicable law expressly permits security research;
  • introduce malware, automated abuse, fraudulent content, or deceptive requests;
  • resell the beta, use it for a commercial eligibility decision, or build a competing dataset or service from it;
  • submit credentials or highly sensitive identifiers that the product does not request.

Good-faith security reports should be sent privately to hello@usenateleigh.com.

9. Feedback and research

You can choose whether to provide feedback. You allow us to use general ideas, corrections, and suggestions to improve Nateleigh without payment or attribution, but you keep ownership of your financial data and other original material.

We will obtain separate permission before recording an interview, publishing an attributed quote, testimonial, screenshot, or case study, or using identifiable research material for marketing.

10. Communications

We may send operational messages needed to manage your application or account, including verification, security, invitation, service-change, support, and deletion messages. Promotional messages require a separate choice and include a practical unsubscribe route.

You agree that ordinary service communications may be delivered electronically to the email associated with your application or account. Contact us if you need an accessible copy.

11. Free beta and future pricing

The current beta is free. Applying for or using it does not authorize us to charge you and will not convert automatically to a paid plan. A paid product requires separate purchase terms and a new, express purchase action.

Before any paid subscription, we will present the price, currency, billing frequency, renewal, trial, tax, cancellation, and refund terms and obtain a new, express purchase action. You will be able to cancel through a practical online method.

12. Privacy and service providers

Our Privacy Policy explains collection, use, disclosure, overseas processing, retention, security, and rights. Infrastructure and service providers may support the beta under appropriate controls. Their availability may affect ours.

A future bank connection will have a separate authorization flow and may also be governed by the connection provider’s terms and privacy policy. We will not ask you to accept those terms before that feature is available.

13. Nateleigh’s intellectual property

Nateleigh, its software, interface, branding, documentation, and content are owned by Nateleigh Investments Limited or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the invited beta for your personal or household purposes.

This right does not transfer ownership or permit resale, public reproduction, removal of notices, or use of Nateleigh marks without written permission.

14. Suspension, withdrawal, and deletion

You may stop using the beta at any time and request account or household deletion. Where practical, export information you want to keep first.

We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, a material breach, capacity, or discontinuation of the beta. We will give notice and an opportunity to address the issue where practical, unless immediate action is needed to protect people, data, or the service.

Deletion and limited retention after closure are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Consumer rights and service responsibility

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a guarantee, right, remedy, forum, or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

United States users retain any non-waivable rights under applicable federal and state consumer-protection, privacy, data-security, breach-notification, electronic-contract, and subscription laws. New Zealand users may have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986, including guarantees of reasonable care and skill where those laws apply.

Subject to those non-excludable rights, the beta is provided with known experimental limitations and without a promise of uninterrupted availability, error-free inference, or a particular financial outcome.

16. Liability

Each party remains responsible for loss it causes where the law requires. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nateleigh is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, lost profits, or a decision made from an output that you knew or reasonably should have known required verification.

Any further limitation or monetary cap for a paid or broadly available service will be presented in updated terms after jurisdiction-specific review. These beta Terms do not impose a fixed monetary cap on a valid privacy, confidentiality, security, or consumer-law claim.

You are responsible for reasonable direct loss caused by your unlawful use, deliberate security abuse, or knowing submission of information you had no right to provide. This is not a broad obligation to cover losses caused by Nateleigh or matters outside your control.

17. Complaints, law, and disputes

Please contact hello@usenateleigh.com first. We will acknowledge the issue, investigate it, and try to resolve it in good faith. Privacy complaints follow the route in the Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by New Zealand law and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts. For a United States user, this choice does not remove a mandatory federal or state consumer protection, privacy, remedy, limitation, or forum right that applies where the user lives.

These Terms do not contain mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the beta develops. We will update the version and date. We will give reasonable advance notice of a material change and request fresh acceptance where the change materially affects financial-data use, payment, dispute terms, or your rights. You may stop using the service if you do not accept a change.

19. General

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be adjusted or removed only to the minimum extent required and the rest remains in effect. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your beta account or this agreement. We may transfer the agreement as part of a genuine corporate reorganization or sale, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and Product Disclosures are the entire agreement for the current beta. A separate written beta invitation can add a specific testing condition; if it conflicts, the more specific written term applies only to that condition.
